Well the Lock down has us all going a bit doo lah lah, but me especially…. I was craving Chocolate Cake…… I don’t Evan like Cake.
Since September of last year- in the magnificent pre-corona days. I promised myself that I would never bake again, because I was done, I had baked 7 years non stop, not a day had gone past in those 7 years where I didn’t see flour, sugars and eggs and I was done……
but today I just…… wanted cake, not any cake, but it was chocolate cake, a deep rich moist chocolate cake, but………without wanting to go through the whole process of making a full on cake.
I am still not ready to switch on the oven, i’m still not mentally able to go near that thing. Its like a monster that sits in that corner…. its too damn big and heavy otherwise I would’ve lifted it up and chucked it away, but then i’ll also be left with a gaping hole in the middle of my kitchen…..first world struggles (seriously any distraction from corona is a blessing, no matter how big or small).
So how was I going to satisfy my craving? well easy, peasy (lemon squeezy) did i just say that? Yes. Yes. I did. (doo-lah-lah days officially here and we haven’t even been on lock down for a full week yet)
Introducing The Chocolate Cake in the Mug (Its really not my idea, I didn’t invent it, but I made it, so I will blog it) and by the way do this with the kids, its easy peasy lemon squeezy (*oh God, really? Again? really?*)
You will need:
4 Tablespoon Self Raising Flour
5 Tablespoon Caster Suger
1 tablespoon Cocoa Powder
3 Tablespoon Milk
3 Tablespoon Oil
Chocolate chips (as desired)
Microwave (no damn Oven! *does a twirl*)
And heres how its done:
Choose your favourite mug, (it has to be a big one, as this beast of a chocolate cake will rise).
Put all the dry ingredients into the mug and mix together. That’s the Flour, the suger and the cocoa powder.
Add the wet ones one at a time and mix throughly. I added the egg first, then the milk and lastly the oil. Mix this until you get a creamy consistency.
Add choc chips to your desired taste
Put the mug in the middle of the microwave, and set the temperature to high and set it to 1.30 mins (allow another 20 secs if needed)
and voila, your chocolate cake is ready,
And its yum, and moist (and if you dont do the 20 seconds its also gooey in the middle, I like batter …. Shhhh…. That’s a secret nobody should disclose.)
Try it out, and don’t forget to share your pics and tag me on them
Love and regards. Stay Safe, stay Indoors and keep washing your hands.

Ok, so who saw the friends refrencing in the title? Who saw it? Who saw it? Tell me, tell me….
I just got excited. Friends are coming back for one more episode. They are coming back for an hour long episode! did you hear that?…. I’m so damn excited. I Actually jumped when I saw it …… Then I refused to believe it… then I went into Denial…… And then it was all over instagram- and the internet went crazy! And so did I. (Im still jumping)
I’m dead excited? Are you? …. It’s either going to be the best ever, or something that never should have happened…. We won’t know until we see it…. And see it I must!!!
So back to grey hairs. I’m ageing. I don’t like it. My once upon a time jet black locks- look tired, and dull and……. grey. Like my dry skin- I’m having trouble with this ageing thing. Big trouble.
I have two options, like the friends episode, either I’ll embrace it, or I’ll go through some mental episode.. aka mid life crisis… Good thing is you guys will be here with me, to witness it,…. Oh god. Is that Even good?
This post really isn’t about my grey hair, although it is, it really is, but generally more about ageing….. And my grey hair …
I will call it……. Ageing gracefully…
No Nonsense Bullsheesh (Kebabs. because I don’t like swearing)
When I was younger I use to wonder why older people were so shrewd, so self centrered, and selfish. Now I’m old(er) I want to be all those things rolled into one! Part of growing older, is also getting wiser. I would say I got wiser alot later than most people in life, because generally I am was a more naive and generally forgiving person. (The thing about studying psychology is, Evan when your hurt, you try and figure out why the other person wants to hurt you, rather than feeling the hurt itself).
Its the lessons in life, and people in life that teach you to become more selfish, self centered and shrewd. Almost like a ‘survival of the fittest’ approach. So my number one motto for ageing gracefully, is taking a ‘ no nonsense’ approach to bullsheesh ( kebabs).
Do you sometimes feel low? unhappy? annoyed? generally miserable?….. think about what you were doing before you felt this way. And what it was that made you feel this way. More often then not these feelings come into place after you have spent time with negative people. Once you have recognised a negative person, stay away from them. Always think Positive, and be thankful for all life throws at you. You whole outlook in life will change….. and it will also keep the wrinkles at bay…
Scientists have found that too much stress can make our hair white, and unfortunately it doesnt go back to black once the stress is gone (now wouldn’t that be cool?) But how can stress be avoided? With lifes trial and tribulations it cant. It really can’t. But there are ways to manage and handle stress, whether its Yoga, Meditation, Power Nap or just switching off all the technology and going for a walk. Do what suits you….. But Do it and Handle it!
Up to the age of 33, I had the flattest stomach ever. Now alongside my grey hair, my dry skin, my temper, my hormones, my stomach was feeling left out- so its joined the ageing team and popped out. I just cannot eat as I use too, without feeling bloated. My diet is awful! always has been, but as Age increases the Diet has to be looked at, not just for the sake of the stomach, the wrong diet affects hair, teeth, skin, health….everything!
Over Indulgences will be kept only for special occasions…. and special occasions start on fridays? right? every friday? No. No. No. Dont do it. Birthdays and Weddings only, ok?! OK?
Theres a medical term for being scared of ageing. Did you know that? its called ‘Gerascophobia’– mainly to do with being lonelier as you grow older and coming to terms with the fact that the body and health can and will change. Im already feeling it. I know im going to struggle with this, because all it takes is for me to feel tired after a shopping trip and I go into melt down. (God help my hubby and kids…. and make them patient to endure me)
So my strategy is to embrace it, and take things more easier, and acknowledge that errands may take longer, illnesses may take longer to overcome, and shopping trips…… well we can go away for a whole weekend and enjoy it instead.
And im going to start all this by…. dyeing my hair. Im thinking BLUE, Blacks abit boring now……… see… mid life crisis fully on way!!
Love and Regards

I dont really know how or when I actually got into Afternoon teas. Ive always been a Tea Lover, I probably go through the day with atleast a dozen cups, its a fix for me. (and I wonder why my face is forever dehydrated). But what I do know is, since my first Afternoon tea, I was hooked. This was going to be a part of my lifestyle for sure.
In the last Decade the popularity of Afternoon Tea has grown. Initially being just for the older British generation, it now appeals to the younger generation, especially because its changed in focus. Its Quirky, its cute, its preety, and it is offered in the most picteresque locations from castles in middle of fields to the coffee shop’s next door. And its not just Tea and scones you are getting, as the list of delights in the menu of Afternoon Tea keep on increasing(no complaints from me).
Im always being asked by friends and family or general people who follow me on insta where a good afternoon tea spot is, so in Todays blog I will share with you some of my favourite Afternoon tea spots locally…. locally meaning the East Midlands, just a drive away from me guys,
1. Stapleford Park
A Grand Country House hotel, One of my most favourite and memorable Afternoon Teas EVER. This is a must for the best of the experiences. This Hotel sits in the middle of 500 acres of gardens and grounds. And it is glorious. Both inside and outside. If anyone asks me about Afternoon Tea, this is usually off the tip of my tongue.
We were greated at reception and were seated in what seemed like a large living area, full of beautiful sofas, couches, and some dining seats. For ourselves we were given a couch. I couldnt be more pleased.
The vegetarian sandwiches were delightful, the scones were fresh, warm and soft, generous portions of jam and cream were given, by far one of my best experiences.
What I loved the most, the quirkiest little details, like ‘Ring for Service’ button, the fireplaces, the piano… all for pictures…and I love photos!
Traditional Afternoon tea at Stapleford Park is £27.50 per person
When Patisserie Valerie started advertising that they are going to be doing Afternoon Tea, well I had to be there.
Here you get a choice between tea and coffee, and includes the scones with jam and clotted cream, finger sandwiches, quiches and a few variety of patisseries miniature classic desserts
At £25.00 for 2 people, you really cant go wrong with Afternoon Tea at Patesserie Valerie. Having said that they always have promotional Offers on, so keep an eye on Groupon and Wowcher, and grab yourself a deal and Afternoon Tea.
Another Country House Hotel, set in the beautiful location of Coventry, with 500 acres of ground, once again its both beautiful on the outside and on the inside, especially because the rooms are filled with antiques and quirky details (I love details!!)
Afternoon Tea is set in a Garden Room Restaurant, (a huge conservatory type room) and it is beautiful. Tea is served Loose Leaf, and a variety of sandwiches are offered. And the desserts, too preety to Eat! The staff are attentive to our needs, and very helpful. A very Pleasant experience. I would consider going again for sure.
Afternoon Tea at Coombe Abbey is £29.95 per person, but once again keep an eye out on Groupon and Wowcher as there are always offers popping up
In Lutterworth, I was invited to a baby shower at Kilworth House where we had Afternoon tea. Kilworth House is a victorian Town House, once again a beautiful location.
Afternoon Tea is served in the Orangery, and what beautiful Orangery it is.
The Food is so preety from the scones, to the desserts, i dont think ive ever seen a selection of preety food like this. There is alot of detail to attention, as you can see from the pictures. And the Dishes used are so different to other Afternnon Teas, I loved the coloured stands (Need one for home)
Like all country houses, this is another house with so many photo points and details. (if only I knew I was going to blog when I went to these places, because I wouldve taken so many more pictures to show the details) (Another visit due?)
A visit to the bathroom is a must (I didnt take a picture! but do go! it is the preetiest bathroom ever).
Afternoon Tea at Kilworth house is £25.00 per person
With Valentines Day coming up, I was looking around at Make Up and cosmetics, and I saw this…….How great is this for Valentines? I know I was chuffed when I received mine, So Guys get a move on. This is the Gift of all Gifts….. Or ladies, how about gifting your best friend’s for ‘Galentines Day’? This day is getting more and more popular every year?…. Maybe…. Just maybe…. One day it’ll be a fixed day in the Calendar….. We can hope right?
What is Galentines Day?
Well… It’s a Fake celebratory day for ‘Ladies to celebrate Ladies’ and it’s held on the 13th of February. The idea actually came from a movie in 2010, but now we see promotions on Galentines, and I think it’s such a wonderful thing, so ladies let’s jump on the bandwagon and make it a real thing!!
I do have a habit of going off track, so you have to keep reminding me that this is about ‘Charoltte Tilsbury The Pillow Talk Look’, well yup as I said this is the absolute best if you are still thinking of a Valentines/ Galentines day gift.
This is IT people. It really is!
I was so chuffed when hubby gave me this, it isnt really a Valentines day gift, its more of a- ‘I told him, i want it and he bought it for me’ gift, but because its so near Valentines Day, we shall consider it as that….. Until Valentines day ofcourse …. when I will be waiting for my real gift.
….See there I go again. Off the record, off the track….
I have never tried any of the Charlotte Tilbury make up collection- but I do know people who have, and they love it, so I did a bit of researching and still didnt know what I wanted, and then just decided on the whole thing. Best decision right? I mean I was never going to love a brand with just a lipstick, and this covers so many products it will give me a full idea of the brand content and quality.
I went for the Pillow Talk because its such a natural beautiful colour, I was after something I could probably use every day without it looking too full on, and the products in here seemed just right.
So lets go through it (Finally I hear you say!)
Firstly how beautiful is the box, the dark magenta with gold is bold and striking!
and Tissue paper? I Love Tissue Paper (Dont laugh you like it too. its the extra touches that wow up the product and experience)
and heres a look at what was inside;
Plus a few freebies which I will also go through…. and all links for the products will be provided whether you want to phurcase individual items or the whole gift box.
I shall start off with the Luxury Palette in Pillow Talk (5.2g): a Pretty, Feminine every day Eyeshadow Palette. Just how gorgeous are the shades? In champagne pink, matte dusky rose, soft matte brown and rose gold sparkle. I fell in love straight away. The colours are so dreamy, soft and romantic. So fit for everyday porpose without looking overdone.
Also in the package is the Cheek to Chic in Pillow Talk (8g): a two-tone powder blusher in a dusky pink and light brown shimmer. Perfect to add a bit of colour to the cheeks, especially in these winter periods as my face looks like a frozen pale colour at the moment, its ideal to bring warmth back into your face.
And as a Treat a small sample of ‘Charlottes Magic Cream’ has been popped inside. What is this magic cream? I heard ya!. This cream is usually used backstage to prep up models skin before fashion shows, it’s a moisturiser that gives a dewy, glowy complexion on the skin instantly. I’m sold!
Full Fat Lashes mascara (8ml): The 5-in-1 mascara to define the eyes, and add drama to the face. Mascara makes all the difference to a made up face. If im wearing mascara it means im going all OUT, and this mascara is the bees knees, its soft and its curls the eyelashes in the exact places. (Please ignore my nails, I have the dreaded habit of nail biting, and now seeing this picture I Will Stop. Urgh it looks awful)
Matte Revolution in Pillow Talk (3.5g): The most populer of the Charlotte Tilbury collection Matte lipstick. This velvety formula enhances your own natural lip colour, and adds a twinge of pink to it, to give it a more fresher fuller look. I could potentially not wear makeup, and just have this on, and I feel better straight away. And you can always add more coats of it, to get a more dramatic colour. This is going straight into my bag!
Pillow Talk Lip Lustre (3.5ml): the “ICONIC, GLOBALLY-LOVED Pillow Talk shade in the sumptuous silk finish of LIP LUSTRE, for a sexy, seductive, pumped up, supermodel pout.” as quoted by the Queen Charlotte herself. Need I say more?
Not to forget the complimentary make up bag inside too. It’s so pretty. You can never have enough makeup bags!.
And also the Miniatures are a few freebies chucked in, that’s the miniature Matte Lipstick and Mini Mascara. I love all mini stuff, its so ideal to take on holiday, or weekend breaks. I Also received free samples for concealers and foundation. I’ll definitely be giving these a try. Never say no to freebies, it’s like getting extra treats!
And lastly we have the Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk (1.2g): such a beautiful shade of pinky nude, this rich and velvety formula adds to the lips you need to have that kissable pout. (with my small lips. Lip liners are a MUST!)
Can I just say I’m sold!, I was sold on the box and the tissue paper to be honest(yes. tissue paper again. I have a thing for it) But yes I am SOLD.
The collection is amazing. It’s wearable, it screams quality and class, what more could I need? Valentine’s Day is coming up so I better get online and see what else Charlotte has to offer…. Also I might (just might) get the old man a treat along the way.
You guys know I Love Tea right? And Afternoon Tea in particuler? Urm….and I love spas… That’s silly, who doesn’t love spas?….
….so when I saw the Cream Tea Spa day at Eden Hall, well… it would be rude of me not to book it in…
Based only 30 minute drive away me and my little bundle of joy Sabina jumped into the car and made our way to Eden Hall for a day of total detox.
Well, what does this day include?
Its basically a full day to use Edens Halls facilities, which include the vitality pools, outdoor hot tubs and the various thermal rooms. We also have access to the gym, the relaxation rooms, and any additional classes they have going on the day. Lunch is included, as is robe and towels and we get a traditional afternoon tea with scones served in the conservatory.
The facilities can be used from 9am to 8pm
Knowing that we had the whole day to indulge, we left home just after 10.
On arrival we were overwhelmed by the size of the place, it is huge and beautiful and grand.
On entrance we were greeted by a lovely lady who took us around the whole venue, explaining everything in great detail, including, when the building was built, who lived in it, which room was used for what porpose…etc (all of which went in one ear and out of the other) but the thing that did remain is- that this was once a family home!…. I will say it again, one family lived in this entire place! have you seen how big it is? we got lost on so many occasions, and ONE family lived in here!!
We were booked in for lunch at 12.20, since it was nearly 11, we requested to have lunch first before we went into the spa, so that it doesnt interfere with our day. They kindly said they would arrange something, and if we would just change and then make our way down to the dining area once done.
The changing rooms are so spacious. You could get lost just in here, (did I mention a family lived here?). There’s large area for changing, and separate room for grooming, which have mirrors and hairdryers. There’s immense number of showers and the showers all have shampoos, conditioners and shower gels. So mine were kept in my bag.
We made our way back to the cosy dining rooms with our robes and slippers, The dining area is composed of small rooms all set up with tables and chairs, (you could actually tell here that it was a lived in house), and we were set up in the actual living room.
Lunch consisted of a selection of salads for starters, from the Veg option we went for the grilled Halloumi with rocket and watercress salad, roasted tomato, red onion and a sweet chilli dressing. And for dessert I went for the Lemon Posset with shortbread biscuit which was divine.
after this we made our way back down through the preety corridors to the spa, and time now to relax.
On entrance we are given a list of what to expect at the spa, and as you can see it truly is a unique experience. Anything that has the words cool, and cold were avoided!
My favourite; the Heat, Tropical and Cool Mist Experience- Ok I did say I avoided anything with cool and cold in it, and I did, but here I went in by mistake, had cool water poured on me, screamed and ran out! After that, I avoided it like the plague! (I dont do cold at all. Ever! and Storm Ciara is screaming outside so im trying to focus all my energy into you guys!)
The Heat and Tropical mist, was amazing, its a walk in shower like feature, you walk through these panels and when it senses your movement the showers open up, and the lights really put you into a different zone. I couldve sat here all day, but it wasnt a sitting feature unfortunately….
But there was a sitting feature which we both loved and that was the Foot and Shoulder massage seat. That truly made our day. We spent most of our time here. Its not one to be missed.
From the rooms experience, although all of them were great, my favourite has to be the salt room, probably because out of all the rooms it was the warmest, but also because of the brittle air you can almost feel the dirt and toxins etching away from your skin.
After having used the rooms to the fullest, we decided to catch abit of an afternoon nap, and the Eden Hall Day Spa Slumber lounge is the perfect spot for this. A room full of slumber beds, some single, some doubles and the best part, this:
The Hanging Pods, How cool are they? just the right amount of space for two people (I need one at home!!!). And there are baskets at every corner with blankets to get all cosy and snuggled up with. Me and sabina are quite use to snuggling up (shes going to kill me for this!) because she somehow always ends up getting us a double bed on our travels (hahahaha. Im dying!) so we jumped in. But shes a giggler and soon after a few people coughed, we knew we had to run out from there….. the only thing is we were booked in for the meditation class next,
The meditation class ended up being a laughing class (I dont evan know what we were laughing about honestly) but we all walked out holding our sides because of stitches , that included our instructor, who ended up with more giggles than us. Thanking her though, because I really thought we were going to be kicked out. (I felt like a naughty teenager!). But we started something in that class. Im really sure Eden Hall will be looking at laughing classes to add to there list of classes soon.
Before we retired to our Afternoon tea, we headed straight to the outdoor jacuzzi’s and they were amazing. The heat of the water so warm you dont evan realise you are outside. We stayed in there until we were crinkly.
Now when you think of a spa- you always think of all the rooms, the treatments and the pool, but the one thing that made this spa experience different was the extras. After having used the facilities to our upmost we decided to head to the conservatory for our afternoon tea. This is part of the New Eden Hall, and the set up is beautiful. They have comfortable sofas that dig your body right into them, there are magazines available to read, blankets ready and waiting to devour your body and also HOT WATER BOTTLES!!! That the WINNER for me!!!. Here we were given our tea and scones and just unwinded evan more than in the spa. I should really really live here!
Leaving the place, I had to look back at this beauty one last time, it was such an amazing and relaxing day. It was sad to be leaving. I would love to stay here (Forever). It has to be one of the best spas I have been to, and I really do think other spas will struggle to try and compete with this. A day full of pure relaxtation, it would make a perfect valentine, mothers day, birthday gift for anyone.
Or like Me, Just treat Yourself. Everyone deserves that.
Another day to entertain. My friend Afreen was coming from Dubai. She works in Dubai for a broker firm, and pops over once or twice a year to catch up with her family and children. And US.
She lives in Dubai, I really can’t compete with that place to take her anywhere fantastic to spend time with her. Dubai is the hotspot of dining and wining. Also our weather is terrible. Yep she’s from UK, so is aware of this, but generally runs off to Dubai to get away from the weather here.
So I decided instead of taking her out, I would throw her a High Chaii party at mine. (High Chaii is the Indian equivalent to the british Afternoon tea). and that way I can make it that extra special.
So I invited a few of our friends over and I created this
Well firstly, I’m sure you know by now I have a love for cups- I’m talking about tea cups here. So I had a chance to show case my new teacups. I got these from my trip in India- and it goes so well with the theme.
Aren’t they soo pretty? (Smiling widely)
And now ill break down what I made.
This is something I improvised with. I don’t have a name for it, so please feel free. I basically chopped up onions and tomatoes and added salt, chilli powder, lemon juice, and ready made salsa. I deep fried poppadoms and put the onion mixture in the middle. And boy was it divine. Do try it. It’s mouthwatering.
A Fruit Platter. Always a must. Always pretty. Always colourful. Always in my parties!
Khaman. I ordered these, they are a yellow steamed cake made out of chick pea flour. It has a tangy and sweet flavour and goes soo well with green chutney.
Dahi Vada. These are deep fried lentil balls soaked in yoghurt topped with spicy and tangy chutneys, like green chutney and tamarind sauce. And then finished off with spice powders ( I can see you salivating). This is a traditional Indian street food. I served these up in cocktail glasses to give it a grandeur look.
Kheema pockets and Omelette rolls. The Omelette rolls are basically masala omelettes wrapped around a chappati. And I split this into two.
And the Kheema pockets, is minced meat cooked with Indian masalas, and then put into halved pitta nan’s with lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. (Definately the biggest hits of the day. I may need to do a step by step blog on this).
Next up we had Punjabi vegetable samosas (which I bought) and home made mango puree and puris. The puris was made by a dear friend, they are an Indian deep fried bread which we dunk into the mango puree.
I also added some croissants, tea cakes, scones and marmalade.
We had Tea, orange Juice and drinks because my dear guest does not like Tea. So I served her up some Pepsi in my wonderful tea cup.
And here is the beauty herself. Hope you enjoyed you High Chaii.
And to end it all we had to do our selfies. I mean what even is a party if there are no selfies right?
I hope you guys got some ideas for your next high chaii. Don’t forget to send me pics or tag me on social media.
So how did I choose my planner, it was different thats for sure. Yes. I know its just a planner. But that’s the point. It’s My planner, My time keeper and Diary for the whole year, and I need to get it right.
So after deciding on the Helloday Planner- as I have been using that 4 years in a row, and I felt disloyal if I went with another diary, I decided to wait until they have a promotional offer as every penny can make a difference.
My builder (and a very close family friend) was in the house and whilst fixing my lights he called out to me-
“Bhabhie, bhabhie…. I know what your favourite color is!… It’s red heneh?!” ( bhabhie means sister in law, and heneh means heneh!- he’s an Indian man- just go with it)
I was shocked, and blushing, and impressed, “yes, yes, it is- how did you know?”
His face dropped- he looked at me as though I had insulted him, ” GREY” he shouted “grey, grey is your favourite color, everything in this house is grey. Are you going to add colour in anywhere??- im tired of grey”
It was time for my face to drop. He is so right, my whole house is grey, every room is grey, from my living room, to my bedroom, or the boys room. It’s Grey…. And I claim red is my favourite colour. Ofcourse he thinks Im mad.
and then it hits me….. Evan my current diary is grey…. and so is the next one I want to buy! so Cancel, Cancel, Cancel….. and thats when I decided on the Amelia Lane Paper Diary, and I opted for the ‘Peony’ because theres no grey in it- it has pops of pink and reds! and its got peonies on it…….wha?? flowers you say? What grey? cant hear you!
and am I happy?? OH YES!
And here it is, its a beauty.
I wouldnt say that I was dissapointed with the unveiling part of the diary, but I would say that Hello Day Planner put alot more effort in the initial unveiling. (and I did miss that) but thats not to say what I have isnt good. I Do love it.
I love the look of it, especially the Golden rim, it gives it a beautiful look, and not just a diary look, but THE Diary look.
It has the year to view, month to view, and the week to view.
Vision board for the year to come to put down your resolutions
It has a monthly overview to track your progress over the year.
Before the start of the month for a full double page is dedicated to goals, habit trackers, income bills, expenses and savings (my favourite page!!)
Colorful stickers are provided for those extra special days. (I loved doing this. None of the Hello Day planners have this )
At the end of the Diary- a weekly health chart is provided and a full page for a bucket list (this isnt going to be enough for me. I need atleast two)
Gift buying list and a page dedicated to books and movies and right at the end along with the notes and the ideas a sleeve pocket is enclosed for flyaway papers.
I really dont think I can ask for any more in a diary
Its the last few days before Christmas, are you still struggling with the last few people for presents? The rush in the city centre is crazy, and yet so festive and vibrant and bright. It has to be my favourite time of year. Everything is so colourful and pretty.
I had to share a gift given to me by a special friend, as when I received it- it brought the biggest smile ever to my face. And made me think if anyone else received it they would feel the same way.
It’s a perfect gift for someone in their own home, who likes scents and smells. (Like me)
It is called the “House of Jo Malone London”, because well look at the packaging. It’s the illustrated image of the Jo Malone Head office in London. In the contemporary Jo Malone colours of rich cream and black. It’s an absolute beauty to look at. So chic and so London!!
I’m sure I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again. Jo Malone packaging always exerts beauty and quality. Just the box screams Grandiosity.
As you enter the house by the 2 flaps you are given the below
A Sweet Welcome message on both sides,
and these products inside,
Two beautiful Scent Surronds, one is a Linen Spray and the other a Room Spray in English Pear and Freesia.
A hydrating hand and body gel, which is in my favourite scent of Peony (pronounced Pee-Nee- not Pe-O-NY! as advised by the sales assitant in Jo Malone!) and Blush Suede. I have the candle in this fragrance and now I can smell of this too!
And two travel size candles, in ‘Lime, Basil and Mandarin’ and ‘Pomegranate Noir’
All sitting inside a velvet backed box in a deep blue colur.
Isnt it a beauty?
Found in the Jo Malone London stores, or High street department stores like John Lewis, and Selfridges. Links Below:
A Huge Thank You to my special friend . I now have a Jo Malone scented house for the upcoming winter months.
At a price of £115, this is a beautiful gift to give someone special at this time of year, if anything like me, the smile will stay on their face for months to come, and this is yet another person ticked off from the Christmas list.
