Product Pick of the Month: Lancome Advanced Genifique (Sensitive)

This month is dedicated to Lancome Advanced Genifique Sensitive…

The first time I bought makeup ( I was in my very late 20’s, I flourished really late…) I went into Debenhams and I was introduced to many make up brands, I allowed myself to be pampered by all the brand’s, and words were thrown at me, all of which fell on deaf ears…. I was buying makeup because everyone was wearing makeup and not because I wanted to. Time to up my game! Time to fit in….

Out of all the brand’s Lancome was definately my favourite. My first foundation was Lancome … Since then I have moved on, but whenever I think of something in the makeup/skincare field I think of Lancome first.

And why not, Lancome is definately in the higher end, and a long standing, reputable skincare brand. That’s where the trust comes in, and that’s why I will choose a product from Lancome before looking at other brands…

And what is Lancomes best seller? This.

I went through a phase where the skin suffered alot, whether that be ageing, pollution in the air, change in diet, the stress of Lockdown… Or anything and everything- I don’t know…..but the effects were showing up on my skin. So I was looking for something that offered ….. Well a solution.

I searched on the net and I saw this. Lancome Advanced Genifique (Sensitive). The brand name was already sold to me, I just had to work out whether this was the right product for my skin troubles…..

The product boasts of its ability to give instant radiance, as well as healtier and younger skin, with hyronolic acid ( my favourite word in skincare) to attack the dry areas, and enriched with 7 prebiotic and prebiotic- derived extracts for firmer, radiant skin and promising a reduction of fine lines…..

Urm…. I’ll take that. Thankyou very much

So how did I get on?

I don’t think we need to talk about the bottle, it’s beautiful. It’s Lancome. No question.

The dropper is really good. It gives the right amount of serum to cover the full face and neck. The serum consistency is flowy yet not watery, and it soaks into the skin quite quickly, and does not leave any stickyness.

Although it’s suggested to use as part of your morning and nightime routine, I mainly use it at night so that in the morning I can wake up to a hydrated face. It does state that it reduces fine lines- I would like to agree and disagree with this, I have definitely seen an improvement in my skin, yet I think this is a product to heal the skin, and radiate it, and not a miracle in a bottle. ( I don’t think anyone has yet got a miracle in a bottle, Even surgeries can’t get it right)

Overall this is definately a product I cannot do without, it does what it says on the Box- it brings radiance to my skin, and it makes it feel brighter and younger and definately healthier. I have even been asked by a few friends and family on what I am currently using as they can see the glow….

The serum comes in different sizes, it is on the pricier side of the market- yet worth every penny. I would ask for a sample of the product if available from the counter, just to test it out as everyone’s skin is different. ( I did that first, they gave the most cutest small bottle ever, which lasted a week, but I was sold on that sample).

Here’s a link if you’d like to take a look. And let me know how you get along with it.

Want Free Skincare Samples …. Read On…..

Shhhhh…. I have a secret…..Come on in, Let me tell you….

Actually its not a secret, not at all, but I dont think people know about this. I didn’t and now I know I have to tell you, because its exciting!!

So let me tell you, what I got for free….

Yes I did, I got this for free, and I am getting some more next month, and hopefully after that every month until and IF they stop doing this…… so how? I can hear you! its coming, Im just getting you all excited just as I was….

And here it is, it is on the Feel Unique website here. Or if you go onto the Feel Unique Website search for ‘pick and mix’ and it will bring it straight up.

So how does it work?

You will need to register up first.

Then you pick the 5 samples you want from the list of 100’s and you pay for the P&P (£3.95) – and then once you received your goods- you get an email for the P&P back towards the next order. How cool is that!!!! And the other thing- you can do this every month! so every month you can get 5 free samples of skincare! I am sold. You?

I picked up the following, because these were samples that I really wanted to try out, but if you want to be super savvy about it, I would suggest you go for the luxury samples rather then the sachet samples I went for (lesson learnt for me going forward)

The mistake I made- I ordered over the phone. Seriously guys take 2 minutes out of your time and go online on a desktop or laptop, and you will be given details on the sample size and use your money towards the larger items like the tubes or the pots. The sachet usually have between 1ml- 2ml- I would try and get 5ml and above to make the most of this offer. You will be surprised some products are even 50 ml! How did I miss this?

I will just briefly go through the samples I got this time round

Upcircle Face Oil

Best to use at night, used to ease out wrinkles and firm up the skin. I love the smell of coffee and can’t wait to give this a try

Kiehl’s Age Defender Eye Cream

Bought this for the hubby because like me, he is noticing things hes never realised before.

Oskia – Bedtime Beauty Boost

Skincare for me is easier in evening than morning. I wanted to try this for a while, just didn’t want to fork out on the bigger sizes product incase I didn’t like it. This works out perfect for me.

Nuxe- Marveillance Eye Contour Lift

I’ve not really been using alot of the eye only products, but it’s something I’ve definitely been interested in. I’ll start with this.

Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer

I don’t think this needs much of a introduction…

And these are my 5 for this month and if one of them make it to my “Product Pick of the Month”- then its a winner….

So Guys don’t miss out on this. it’s awesome and its free!! two of my favourite words in one sentance. And if you do go for it, Let me know what you get and if it was any good!

Exciting times, my End of month is due, so ill be popping some more samples in. And if you want to join me here’s the Webby….

Chat soon.

Product Pick of the Month: Bobbi Brown VitaminE Enriched Face Base

With all the gunk I’ve been trying out on my face recently, their are certain products that shine more than others.

For this reason I’ve decided that I will do a review of one product a month, which shine’s from them all, and I have to start with this one;

It’s the Bobbi Brown VitaminE enriched moisturiser. I got this as a sample size in the Harper’s Bazaar Beauty Box, and I’ve been using it for a week plus, and can I say I’m obsessed, so much that I’ve actually ordered it in full size.

It’s thick and it really goes so far, I received a small pot in the box, but even after 7 days I’ve still got some left.

My skin since lockdown has been dry and honestly going through so many changes just like our lives. And whilst it’s been changing I’ve been trying new and different things on my face, but this one product has definately outstood all the rest.

I’m so impressed with it. Most moisturiser’s leave a slightly wet feel once used, but this sinks straight into the skin and still gives a hydrated feel. And honestly you can put makeup on literally straight away and it sits so perfectly.

I believe all woman are pretty without makeup-but with the right makeup can be pretty powerful.-

Bobbi Brown

Let’s look at the Science:

It has Carrot Extract and Vitamin A which Minimizes the look of fine lines and wrinkles.
Also contains Vitamins C and E which protects against environmental damage.
The Grapefruit and Geranium Fragrance- it so beautiful and really lifts up your mood. ( I love all things Geranium)
And Shea Butter which hydrates and softens the skin.

It’s thick and smooth but it’s not greasy… Honestly no lie, It’s luxurious and the skin feels evened out. Its glorious and rich for a moisturiser. It’s definately on the higher side of the price range, but considering how much use I got from the sample, it’s totally worth it. I feel like once I have it on, it lasts all day, while with other moisturisers after a couple of hours, I feel I need a top up, especially in the heat we have at the moment- which I feel the skin is definately not use to.

Bobbi brown have definately worked out what and how a moisturiser should be. They got it in one. I would recommend this product to all of you.

You can buy it here.

A Day in with Elemis

I disappeared, yes I did. I disappeared for a bit. I needed too… Everything felt mundane, everything felt subdued, everything felt…. I don’t Evan know. I didn’t know what to write. I didn’t want to write. I had hit a blank.

And then whilst the mind decluttered, I slowely started getting back into things and…. First things first…. I need to sort my skin out. Quarantine made my skin dry, fasting made it itchy and flaky, the lack of food and especially water has drained the life out of my skin.

With Eid round the corner, I couldn’t just magic the healthy glow into my skin, I needed something I could trust, and something that I could potentially hope will clear up my skin in a matter of 2/ 3 days.

Thats when I saw the Elemis SuperFood Range. I knew I had to have it. Elemis notoriously known to be the best of the ‘Spa Brands’. I knew I couldn’t go wrong with it.

Isn’t it just the preetiest with its green and white branding? ….. Isn’t green just a healthy colour? It reminds me of all healthy foods, like peas, and broccoli, and spinach……(obviously from the M&S adverts. Can’t do greens otherwise) and also… Palm trees… so it’s like a healthy spa retreat….. I’m already feeling better.

Named SuperFood because of its plant-based superfoods; which include a variety of grains, greens, fruits, seeds, oils, ginger, kale, broccoli, avocado, matcha and flax seeds. Which are all designed to help replenish, nourish and hydrate skin, the Superfood System feeds your skin from the outside in.

There was an online exclusive on the products which gives the whole bundle for £105 ( £158 if bought individually). You can find it here. The bundle includes:

  • Superfood Facial Wash 150ml
  • Superfood Day Cream 50ml
  • Superfood Night Cream 50ml
  • Superfood Facial Oil 15ml

SuperFood Facial Wash

I’ve been starting my day with the facial wash, with the dulling of the skin, a good facial wash is important part of getting the skin back to its stable healthy colour. The facial wash contains avocado aswell as pumpkin seed oil. (Doesn’t that sound so ….. Green?) It smells nice too! It really helped in me feeling brighter, and cleaner for the day ahead.

SuperFood Day Cream

Probably my most favourite out of the whole range. I use this as a moisturiser, it’s really deep and creamy and hydrates the skin instantly, the flakiness on my skin was absorbed instantly. It also gives a hydrated look without looking oily. This is a must people. An absolute must.

SuperFood Facial Oil

At my age, oils are a must in my skincare routine and this facial oil does exactly what I need it to do. It nourishes and hydrates into the skin. You can feel the skin absorbing it in, and the end result is dewy, and not oily at all. Another winner and another product I will have to hide from the men in my life…

SuperFood Night Cream

With hints of Lavender and Ylang Ylang this night cream not only replenishes the skin, but also aids in sleeping. It’s nice and thick and acts as a mask to harbour all the nutrients into the skin overnight. So you wake up to softer, fresher hydrated skin. Definately a product which will sit with my night time routine.

Freebies

Yes. I said it… It’s freebies and who says no to freebies? No one. Ever. Elemis have a super cool offer on at the moment. If you spend £80 or more (*offer valid at time of purchase. May change) we get a 6 piece gift set including a toiletry bag from Olivia Ruben. ( One can never have too many toiletry bags). And here it is below:

Isn’t the bag the most prettiest thing ever? I love getting samples, it makes the whole purchase so much more worth it…..ill be giving these a try after Eid, and will get back to you on my experience. Right now I have got to get my Eid face ready

here’s one last pic of all the products below, thats £105 for all of this:

The Superfood bundle of 4 can be found here. (*Offers may vary)

{Collab}…. I tried out Shafs Beauty New ‘Pill’ Face Mask…

Hi All, hope you all are keeping safe and staying indoors.

I think I’ve learnt alot about myself whilst in Lockdown, firstly that I ‘can’ cook more than just chicken fillets…. Dressing in pyjamas all day can be a fashion trend… Cleaning the bathrooms is the worse job in the whole world… their is loads you can do in the house- if you stay in it long enough….barbers and beauticians are talented people for real…not all superheroes wear capes #love NHS….. and…. I’ve become a little obsessed over skincare…..

I have always been a pamper type lady, I love my spas, I love wining, dining, I love my massages, scents… All the good things in life… But I have always had someone else do the hard work whilst I just enjoyed it…

Now I’ve had to learn to wax parts of the body I never thought I would have to….I’ve learnt to deal with aches and pain, and I’ve had to learn how to look after my own skin…. And initially I was anxious- I mean what do you do? How do you do it? …. But honestly along the way I’ve picked up a love for self care and skin care, and I love pampering myself and trying out new and different things….

So when Shafs introduced the new “pill” mask to me….. Well let’s give it a go!!

Staying indoors has really done weird things to my skin, I came out with dry patches, red patches, dull skin and all sorts, and I think I realised it more because I’m not wearing make up much, and God I look awful without it!

But one thing quarantine has taught me, if you look after your skin well, you really don’t need so much make up at all. I haven’t touched my dior foundation in over 6 weeks, and I feel illuminated without it.

I spoke about the products I use from Shafs Beauty earlier- if you missed it click here…. And now let’s take a look at this new face mask…

When Shafs gave me this and said it’s a mask, I really didn’t know what to think, I looked at her blank, wondering if the quarantine was driving her insane, but she explained that I had to put it into the rose toner and watch it turn into a mask…. I was still dubious….

It’s a size of a large pill, how could that possibly turn into a mask…. But it did… Here’s a video on it… It’s really impressive…

Did you see it? Just how cool is that!!! Obsessed.

The Rose toner by Shafs is one product I haven’t spoken about before. Rose itself is a really good product to get rid of grime and oils in the skin, and the rose helps in toning the skin… Can I say that it smells divine. The toner can be used as it is, or with the face mask. I loved using it as a mask. It felt cool on the face, yet I could feel a slight tingling near my nose and upper lip area (where the black heads usually sit). This definately will be sitting in my weekly routine.

After I removed the mask- I used the Shafs Geranium moisturiser.

I’ve never felt so clean and…. Urm…. Purified. It really felt like my skin was smooth and silky, and fresh.

My new look out of quarantine will definately be more of a natural look.

Truly another great product by Shafs! I can’t fault it.

Do feel free to have a look at her products {click here} . And don’t forget to quote “m11bna” to get your 10% off

Stay Home, Stay Safe and love the skin your in!

Lets Take a Look inside: ‘BubbleT Christmas Advent Calender 2019’

So Im taking a bit of a leap here, I know that at the moment we all are a bit Corona Crazy but don’t you just need a minute? Away from it all, just to forget? when this calender popped up outside my door (Thankyou to my Guardian Angel) I almost forgot what was happening in the world, and those few minutes were so precious.

I racked my brains a couple of times thinking whether I should do a blog or not, whether it is appropriate or not, then I thought to myself it made me feel so happy for those few moments. For those few moments I was back in my ‘normal’ world. And wouldn’t you my readers also want that?

So I will just jump straight into it.

What is BubbleT?

Its a cosmetic company which uses Tea as a inspiration for its products

OH MY GOSH- Could there be a better fit for me?? I love all things TEA!

There products include bath fizzers, shower gels, handcreams, lip balms…. all the things we need for pampering.

This advent Calender was for 2019 christmas , and it was in the market for £19.99….. I mean a bargain! Advent calenders usually start at £50 plus, so I was quite dubious over it….. but my gosh was I wrong, Im sure this year ill be getting it at christmas time because its soooo damn good.

Firstly its huge. Like huge. I couldnt get round how big it was. That excited me more.

So lets take a look at what was inside:

  • Hibascus and Acai Berry Tea shower Gel
  • Hibascus and Acai Berry Tea Bath fizzer
  • Lemongrass and Green Tea Bath Salt T-bag
  • Morrocan Mint Tea hand cream
  • Hibascus and Acai Berry Tea Bag
  • Morrocan Mint Tea Body Scrub
  • Lemongrass and Green tea Body Scrub
  • Shower Pouffe
  • Lemongrass and Green Tea Oil Pearls x2
  • Morrocan Mint Tea Bath Fizzer
  • Hibascus and Acai berry Tea Bath Jelly
  • Lemongrass and Green tea Hand Cream
  • Hibascus and Acai Berry tea Oil pearls (x2)
  • Morrocan Mint Tea Bath Sea-salt T-Bag
  • Hibascus and Acai Berry Hand cream
  • Morrocan Mint Tea shower Gel
  • Lemongrass and Green tea Shower Gel
  • Morrocan Mint Tea bath Pearls (x2)
  • LemonGrass and Green Tea Bath Fizzer
  • Hibascus and Acai Berry Tea Shower Gel
  • Lemon Grass and Green Tea Body Lotion
  • Hibiscus and Acai Berry Tea Shower gel
  • Lemongrass and Green tea Bath Jelly
  • Morrocan Mint Tea Bath Jelly

I mean all these goodies for £19.99…. could we get a better advent calender (my life is not complete without a friends reference!) I was really impressed with the sizes of the products too! Not too small, and not too large. And the beauty is the products you like- you can buy the bigger version.

I’m really liking the products so far, and on the Webby there is so much more! Here it is

http://www.bubbletcosmetics.com

Ill definately be looking out for the one for this year, and for that price isnt it a steal to gift to your loved ones and have something to look forward to and speak about and compare notes?

With treats like this, Oh I do wish it could be christmas everyday.

Let’s Take a Look inside………The Cult Beauty Starter Kit….

As you guys know I’m suffering from a illness called ‘Ageing’, and I mean I’m really struggling with it. Its no joke so don’t sit there smirking….. It happens to the best of us!

So my skin has been affected the worse. The skin on my face that is, the part that shows…. the visible part…….so I’ve been looking around and using products like I never have before in all my life….

I think I’m turning into some sort of skin care guru, trying to learn how best to look after my skin, what should be in each product… Etc ( I just will not drink water!!)

And I came across this pack from cult beauty….

It is the cult beauty starter pack, called the ‘Holy Grail’- WHY?

Well because it holds 6 of the make up industry’s iconic brands all in one box. Some of the products are mini sizes, and some the normal size. And it just gives the consumer the chance to explore the products before they buy.

It contains products by, Nars, Ordinary, Glow, Huda, patchology and Living Proof. All at a price of £30 (normally £79).

It was actually the Glow watermelon maske and The Ordinary that I was after. The two products alone were coming up to £25 for me, it seemed silly for me to not put the extra £5 in to get the remainder….

I’ll just go through  the products now

Well firstly. You guys should know this by now. Box ✅ tissue paper ✅…. It’s already a winner… (Smiles lovingly)

This is the mask I was talking about. This just keeps popping up on my Instagram feed. It was calling me. I had to get it. The mask in this pack is a mini size, but that’s the greatest thing. If I don’t like it at least I know not to buy the bigger one…. Btw I just removed the lid and omg! It smells so delish. I could scoop it up and eat is as a dessert if it was edible. ( I’ll let you guys know how I get along with it after I’ve tried it a few times)

When I shared on Instagram my sore and dry skin, the amount of people that showed and sent me pictures of their products was amazing (thank you guys. You are the best) the most popular was this. I had never heard of The Ordinary before.( Told you I’m a skincare virgin) and it seems to be all the rage over the internet, for it’s effectiveness and price. I can’t wait to start using this.

I’m still trying to get use to the fact that I’m having to look after my face and the pack includes this ‘Living Proof restore Mask treatment’ for Hair! For Hair people I tell you- for Hair!… I always just use conditioner, and they have masks for this. ( I really have just woken up) I’m really looking forward to my pamper day where I try this whole box on together…. Well not together, but together… You know what I mean. Together. Right?

This sheet masks are very popular, everywhere I go I see them. Up till today I’ve not bought one, because well, we have masks at home and I just don’t get this buy one wet sheet, throw it on your face and then throw away philosophy. ( I’m old school) but I’m pleasantly pleased to see this in the box. Because I’ll actually be able to try one and throw it away…. I’m quite excited by it….

Nars the Multiple. I had to research this one (don’t you dare roll your eyes at me!) I just didn’t get it, it’s too big to be a lipstick, it’s flat, it’s not liquid. What the hell is it?well it can be used on the cheeks, eyes and lips! Before makeup or after to add glow. That’s all I can tell you. I’ll need to YouTube a video and find out more. If you guys know. Please help. Make up virgin here 🙋‍♀️.

There’s nothing more on the makeup world that excites me as much as Huda!and this Topaz collection is an absolute beauty. Just look at the colours on that and be mesmerised. This and the Glow mask make the whole box worth every penny and more.

All these products individually priced come to £79 … At £30 you really can’t go wrong, and also as mentioned before, if there’s certain products you like after, then it’s worth buying just that product.

I’m really excited to try out all the goodies. If there is a certain product that I like and feel it’s made a difference I shall let you all know.

Once again here’s the Webby for the cult beauty starter pack:

February in a Nutshell

“January in a Nutshell’ proved to be popular, so I had to do the same again… Thanks to you guys who told me I was hilarious… Ok ok, that’s a lie, not hilarious, just funny…. But google theasaurus states that funny and hilarious are the same, so don’t come at me. Have a word with Google…… And I’ll be just here being hilarious!

One thing I love about February, Pay Day comes so damn quick! Hi five to short months- we only get the one, so hi five to February and now it’s gone, 11 more dreaded long months to go through…until its November and then we complain how fast the years gone…..

So heres what gone on in Febuary, seriously considering its the shortest month of the year, A hell of a lot has happened

1. Storm Ciara and Dennis and Jorge

Weve been hit by 3 storms this month alone! and it doesnt seem to be settling down. The Area I live in hasn’t been affected much (although my fence did break) but other areas are going through the worse of it. Ciara came and went, Dennis decided to come in batches and Jorge is not giving up. The Worst affected area being in West Wales….. Storms are coming and going yet Boris (Johnson that is, although he is considered to be a storm aswell) is yet to be seen.

2. Coronavirus

Is it a moral panic? Is it real? Is it true? Is it lies? Is it man made? What is happening people? A Lot and nothing at the same time.

The number of coronavirus deaths has now reached 3,080, with the death toll in Iran at 66 (the highest outside China). In Italy, 52 people have died, while three have died in France.

What do I make of it, well theres more chance of me dying in a car accident then the Coronavirus, and that’s not going to stop me driving…

Here’s a few facts for you

And here’s a quick prevention guideline

Generally, stay clean, stay domesticated (which you should be doing regardless of Coronavirus) and dont book a flight to China, and I think you will be ok.

Brexit

Boris Johnson has stepped up his game, and got to work more faster than any Politician I know. All for the wrong reasons though, things have tightened up on the immigration front, heres a few changes https://metro.co.uk/2020/02/29/post-brexit-immigration-rules-12324404/.

Plus we going back to blue passports! This is the official stamp. We are out of the EU.

Caroline Flack

…. Gave up her life at age of 40. Such a devastating story and loss of a beautiful person. I don’t know her. I don’t watch Love Island. It doesn’t interest me at all, but I sure do know people who watch it, and its being suggested that the Media drove her to this. Especially The Sun newspaper…….

….. I just cant fathom it, How can someone be so low that they think committing suicide is the option out?

Prayers with her family and friends at this precious time, Also prayers to all the other suicide victims and families. If you do know anyone going through hard time, Please keep an eye on them. A Little Love goes a Long way.

Royal Tea and Jam

Its not the begginning of the new month if I dont talk about my favourite family in the whole wide world.

And guess What! Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince William and Kate came to Leicester!! and I missed them! I so badly wanted a selfie with Charles. That would’ve been awesome! My life wouldve been made, I missed out……Although I do think the Queen would have been ‘Off with my head’. But hey…. I wouldve met her too….

Harry and Meghan have been summoned! They are back to finish off their duties and then its officially a ‘bye -bye’ to them. Although Harry has started his goodbye’s earlier- in Edinburgh he asked to be called as ‘Harry’ and not Prince Harry…. The beginning of the end. ~

Also it has now been clarified that they no longer can use ‘The Royal Sussex’ Brand. The Queen keeps on suprising me. Legend. Absolute Legend!

I must say im looking forward to seeing them, I do think they are a dynamic force, and they do bring alot of drama with them. But honestly would love to see William, Kate, Harry and Meghan together one last time.

Manchester City Football Club

I dont know if this is news or not, but the Boi told me this is big! so im adding it on. Manchester city has been banned from the Champions League for 2 seasons, and also charged with a £25million fine due to breaking financial fair play rules.

What does that mean? I dont have a clue….. Not really too fussed either, but if you want to know more, heres the webby https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/feb/14/manchester-city-banned-from-champions-league-two-seasons-ffp-uefa

India

War on the streets of Delhi mainly targeted at the Muslim Communities. Im not going to say anything more. This is really affected me. Really really affected me, and I would rather not say anything when emotions run too deep.

Here is a link to find out whats happening https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-51612461?intlink_from_url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/topics/cqzp3xdyxq4t/new-delhi&link_location=live-reporting-story

Before I end, can I say how deeply ashamed I am of all the celebrities in India, This was their time to shine and make a difference. They are the worst of human beings. They belong on the bottom of the pile. Absolutely disgusted.(told you I’m affected)

Friends Reunion!

Could I be more happier?! Its official, its happening and I am ecstatic!

Cant wait for this !

Love and Regards

My Favourite Afternoon Tea Spots in the Midlands

I dont really know how or when I actually got into Afternoon teas. Ive always been a Tea Lover, I probably go through the day with atleast a dozen cups, its a fix for me. (and I wonder why my face is forever dehydrated). But what I do know is, since my first Afternoon tea, I was hooked. This was going to be a part of my lifestyle for sure.

In the last Decade the popularity of Afternoon Tea has grown. Initially being just for the older British generation, it now appeals to the younger generation, especially because its changed in focus. Its Quirky, its cute, its preety, and it is offered in the most picteresque locations from castles in middle of fields to the coffee shop’s next door. And its not just Tea and scones you are getting, as the list of delights in the menu of Afternoon Tea keep on increasing(no complaints from me).

Im always being asked by friends and family or general people who follow me on insta where a good afternoon tea spot is, so in Todays blog I will share with you some of my favourite Afternoon tea spots locally…. locally meaning the East Midlands, just a drive away from me guys,

1. Stapleford Park

A Grand Country House hotel, One of my most favourite and memorable Afternoon Teas EVER. This is a must for the best of the experiences. This Hotel sits in the middle of 500 acres of gardens and grounds. And it is glorious. Both inside and outside. If anyone asks me about Afternoon Tea, this is usually off the tip of my tongue.

We were greated at reception and were seated in what seemed like a large living area, full of beautiful sofas, couches, and some dining seats. For ourselves we were given a couch. I couldnt be more pleased.

The vegetarian sandwiches were delightful, the scones were fresh, warm and soft, generous portions of jam and cream were given, by far one of my best experiences.

What I loved the most, the quirkiest little details, like ‘Ring for Service’ button, the fireplaces, the piano… all for pictures…and I love photos!

Traditional Afternoon tea at Stapleford Park is £27.50 per person

Here’s the Webby: https://www.staplefordpark.com

2. Patisserie Valerie

When Patisserie Valerie started advertising that they are going to be doing Afternoon Tea, well I had to be there.

Here you get a choice between tea and coffee, and includes the scones with jam and clotted cream, finger sandwiches, quiches and a few variety of patisseries miniature classic desserts

At £25.00 for 2 people, you really cant go wrong with Afternoon Tea at Patesserie Valerie. Having said that they always have promotional Offers on, so keep an eye on Groupon and Wowcher, and grab yourself a deal and Afternoon Tea.

3. Coombe Abbey

Another Country House Hotel, set in the beautiful location of Coventry, with 500 acres of ground, once again its both beautiful on the outside and on the inside, especially because the rooms are filled with antiques and quirky details (I love details!!)

Afternoon Tea is set in a Garden Room Restaurant, (a huge conservatory type room) and it is beautiful. Tea is served Loose Leaf, and a variety of sandwiches are offered. And the desserts, too preety to Eat! The staff are attentive to our needs, and very helpful. A very Pleasant experience. I would consider going again for sure.

Afternoon Tea at Coombe Abbey is £29.95 per person, but once again keep an eye out on Groupon and Wowcher as there are always offers popping up

4. Kilworth House

In Lutterworth, I was invited to a baby shower at Kilworth House where we had Afternoon tea. Kilworth House is a victorian Town House, once again a beautiful location.

Afternoon Tea is served in the Orangery, and what beautiful Orangery it is.

The Food is so preety from the scones, to the desserts, i dont think ive ever seen a selection of preety food like this. There is alot of detail to attention, as you can see from the pictures. And the Dishes used are so different to other Afternnon Teas, I loved the coloured stands (Need one for home)

Like all country houses, this is another house with so many photo points and details. (if only I knew I was going to blog when I went to these places, because I wouldve taken so many more pictures to show the details) (Another visit due?)

A visit to the bathroom is a must (I didnt take a picture! but do go! it is the preetiest bathroom ever).

Afternoon Tea at Kilworth house is £25.00 per person

5. Colwick Hall Hotel

And finally in Notthingham we have Colwick Hall Hotel, I found Colwick Hall afternoon Tea very different to the others, but just as delighful.

The grounds are beautiful, and well looked after, and inside its just as picteresque.

For our afternoon Tea we were given Soup aswell! so cute! with a crouton inside! Once again we were very well looked after, the staff were attentive to our needs

There are always offers on For Afternoon Tea online, and you can get it from £34.99 for 2 people.

Here’s the Webby : https://colwickhallhotel.com/

So there you go my top 5 Afternoon Tea places. Let me know if you pay a visit and how you found it x

{Collab} I tried out “Shafs Beauty” new Organic Skin Care Range….

If you guys follow me on Instagram then you will know how much I have been suffering from dry skin recently.

With the weather being generally grey and dull, my face is drying out, and I’m getting dry flaky and sore patches everywhere.

I’ve not really ever had bad skin, I’ve been one of those lucky people who have gone through life without worrying about dry skin, spots, pimples or dark areas…. But in the last few years things have started to change.

As I age I’ve had to start using make up, to cover up any blemishes or flaws…. But still I refused to believe the ageing game… I refused to use products or look after myself…. I mean I don’t need it? I’ve got great skin….

….but now it’s caught up with me, it’s time for me accept that I am no longer 20 (that hurts) and things will change. In honesty I’m really grateful it lasted this long…. But the only problem now is that I don’t know where to start….

I went into debenhams… And I stood there, not knowing where to go and who to try, overwhelmed with the amount of advice, freebies and general advice I was given by all the stores I went home with nothing.

Speaking to my beautician of 15 years of my problems, she introduced me to her own range of products. Having had recently started her own skincare brand, she gave me a mini facial whilst I was there. ( I mean. Who says no to freebies?)

She went through each product she used and asked me loads of questions about my skin to determine what I needed.( In all honestly, knowing me for 15 years- she instantly knew what I needed.)

And she packed up a bag full of products for me to try at home.

I love the whole look of the products, they are simple and stylish.

Cream Cleanser: It’s a Grapefruit, Lavender and Frankincense cream cleaner. I’ve not been using make up recently because of my dry skin it looks awful on, the dry patches show up more, and it looks patchy, but just using the cleanser made my skin feel more supple and soft. You can smell the hint of the Grapefruit and Lavender on application. Almost smells of fresh laundry ( I love the smell of fresh laundry) and Lavender always reminds me of spa days, I’m sure spas use Lavender to relax people.

Face Mask: Well as soon as you open it you can smell the apple, it smells lush. Granny Smith’s for sure. And the mask goes a long way, I only applied it twice, and it spreads so easily over the face, you only need a tiny amount, which is well worth the money. Also it smells so ….fresh, Apple fresh.

And here’s a selfie to show how creamy the face mask is. The Face mask worked wonders, on removal I already felt like I was washing away the impurities on my face. My face felt creamy and soft, and the fresh smell of the Apple lingered.

Next I used the Brightening Serum, it’s a very concentrated serum, but a small amount covers the face. After applying it- you have to dab your face with your fingers to allow the serum to penetrate into the pores. The smell of the Orange was intoxicating. There’s definately something about the smell of fruits that make you feel…. Healthy, and this was working for me.

And lastly the Moisturiser. A thick and rich consistency. With Geranium extract. Exactly what I needed. Geranium is known to help with the tightening of tissues on the face muscles. On applying this I automatically felt the contracting of the face, especially on my cheekbones, and it felt good. This is by far my favourite of the whole brand.

I’ve now been using Shafs products for just 10 days, and I’m already finding a difference in the overall look of my skin and my face, the flaky dryness has gone, and my skin no longer looks tired or grey. It actually illuminates…

Please do ignore that lump on the side of my face. My tooth problem have left a souvenir for me on one side of my face!

My skin also feels soft, and airy, previously it ached and the dry patches were turning red and sore. These products are a definate winner for me, and will be staying in my new ‘looking after myself‘ drawer…. Honestly my skin hasn’t felt like this in a long time.

(Transparency: I have reviewed these products myself for 10 days and I am giving my honest opinion and review on them.)
